Consultancy
Before returning to further study at the University of Cambridge, I worked as a classroom teacher and literacy coordinator in a London school for children with Special Educational Needs. In 2023, I worked as an assistant head of an SEN school. I developed bespoke, evidenced-based methods of reading teaching and assessment and methods of storytelling and creative classroom teaching. I am always keen to work with schools who want improve reading and literacy practice.
I have worked with young adults at City Lit College, Holborn, and as a facilitator for the charity Books Beyond Words. I continue to work with schools to improve reading and literacy teaching and increase creativity in the classroom through teacher training and consultancy.
I work with public institutions such as the Royal Albert Hall to increase accessibility of their collections and their offer for people with Special Educational Needs.
